The International Festival of Arts & Ideas in New Haven, CT is a comprehensive 15-day festival made up of more than 100 events that defy genre and expand innovative themes. Ranked among the top 100 event destinations in America, Arts & Ideas seeks to foster dialogue among artists and academics with an audience that totals nearly 100,000 per year. Eighty percent of the festival events are free to the public and most attendees spend nearly three times the national average visiting local stores, restaurants, museums, and galleries in the area.

After creating two award-winning website redesigns for Arts & Ideas, we look forward to a bright new future that attracts people across state and national borders to outdoor activities and performances, family-friendly programming, and truly thought-provoking conversations. Online life is now in our pockets and everywhere we go, and so is The International Festival of Arts & Ideas with accessible calendars and events for every kind of culture-lover.

 

Logo Evolutions

Known lovingly as the bubble & squeak between Arts & Ideas and the Flyteam, we decided in 2014 that Festival 20 was the time to literally insert the ampersand within the mark that wide-ranging audiences associate with “festival time” in New Haven. Growing with Arts & Ideas means continually embarking on fresh journeys that evolve their brand, and as a festival which defies categories and boundaries, Arts & Ideas is an institution that truly “lives within the ampersand.”

We aim to elevate their unclassifiable voice and build buzz for a festival that is smart fun and more than summer.
 

Futures

Festival 20 is an evolutionary benchmark for Arts & Ideas. The festival green itself included an interactive social media selfie-station, which will build an online community for future video marketing, while creating physical spaces that excite with super-graphics and color. We are preparing the years to come for much more by embracing a surreality/reality playfulness to encourage audience engagement in spaces online and at the festival.
